This is a "live edge" belt strap. I leave the edges raw/fuzzy with no beeswax or balm treatment. The appeal of this type of leather is watching as your leather develops its own unique patina. Since no dye or wax is applied, the leather will darken over time from your environment. The oils from your hands and sunlight will both darken the leather more and more as it ages. A truly unique product. The edges come raw and fuzzy as you see in the photos, unlike all of the other leather belts I make. Overtime, this fuzz will also smooth out natural as it is run through your pant loops.
This is sometimes referred to as a natural dye, undyed, or russet style color.
This leather belt is made to last a lifetime. Made from strong English Bridle leather, it’s tanned in Veracruz, Mexico, and the belt is handcrafted in the USA. The full-grain leather is durable enough for everyday wear but refined enough for dressier occasions. Over time, it softens and develops character, and a quick touch of leather balm keeps it looking sharp. Whether you're pairing it with jeans or dress pants, this belt is a solid, long-term addition to your wardrobe.
